We are going to have mods and admins. As for the V.I.P.s... *shrugs* It's up to everyone else.

In my opinion, we should wait for a while till we get settled again before we start adding features...a site move is a big thing and comfort is key. As Jack said back at the Society, one of the reasons we stayed is because it felt like home.

I'm not really too bothered. It's good to have someone who you know can help you out around the site and so on, but I also agree with what Dono's saying.

I never really liked the VIP's. Mods, however, can be helpful in keeping people on topic and preventing flame wars.

What we could do in a while once we might get this done is that those who were V.I.P.S, mods and admins stay what they were that's what we could do.

No, I think an overhaul is necessary. Since YWS is literally going to be gone, it would be a big hassle to compile a list of the previous VIPs. If we're going to make a new site, I think we should do it right and start from the ground up, with all new everythings.
Gotta earn your status and all that jazzarazz

Part of the reason Nate believed YWS collapsed (and I think he's right here) is that the idea of a purely artistic site got sidetracked a little, and we started adding features. Now, features are all fun and cool, but they tend to hold the majority of people's interest for about ten minutes, and then they're excess baggage. This was the same with the Arcade, the VIPs, the points system and so on; they're nothing to do with writing or art, but people tended to put stock by them. Personally, I think we should have mods because they're useful; they do things, keep things running and sort people out when they need it. VIPs, however, are fairly redundant and useless - it was just a mark of respect, and I don't honestly think we need that. We're a community, and we're pretty unique in that the massive bulk of us already know one another, and we've been given a completely fresh start. We don't need a pointless 'mark of respect' - we'll give it when it's deserved So, for me, down with the VIPs, Points, even the Arcade (as much as it pains me... and it does; it's almost physical, it hurts so much ) and concentrate on all things writing and community. Lounge is good special labels are not. And as to mods - this is Dusky's baby. She da boss, and she'll decide who makes a good mod and who don't.

My personal belief on the matter is that there really is no need for VIP's and that there should be maybe a moderator for every 50 people. Obviously we must carry on with the administrator.
So, theoretically, there would be one moderator and the administrator by member 100 unless the administrator makes the decision to nominate those who were previously moderators at the Young Writers' Society as moderators once more.

I'd let Dusky decide. Personally, I'd opt for a few mods of her choice, or assist. admin, or whatever it is she feels she needs here. I agree, though; VIPs are a bit useless.
