So we're half-way through May, everyone. How's the novel writing going?
I'm still in chapter 6 and have been quite nicely stuck there for quite a while. However, being caught there has had some nice effects. My characters are beginning to flesh out quite a bit more, there a lot more plotline and detail floating around my head and I'm really starting to get excited about the next few chapters (as well as the rest of the book).
How about all of you?

I'm... um... half way through the first chapter. First draft, so there's loads of room for improvement.
Coursework - YAY! you to hell. And heh, I've also started my exams now. But there's a holiday coming up, so hopefully I'll have time to write then.
Hm, it turns out that damn is a censored by YAY! - well... damn...

Well, I've got two chapters and a prologue completed, and they've been that way for a *long* time. I've also got about six complete chapters of another book, but that one's been sitting idle for a fair while.
I've really got to get back to consistant writing.

I've got three chapters done, but I haven't worked on it for a while, and I'm not sure if I'm going to do any more work. I go off and on writing, and YWS going down has hit me pretty hard in that respect as I was waiting till after the exams (about 6 weeks) to start writing again. Now I'm not sure if I want to anymore *shrug*

The first draft is complete and the boyfriend has read through all of it to find the typos. Currenty working on a creative non-fiction book called Unpredictable. So far I've written the forward and two chapters, though I have an outline of all the chapters I would like to complete.

Well, I want to carry on going with this, even if I am having to wait until after the exams... (last exam June 22nd) Thing is, I might be starting a new one... Is that a bad move? I think the plot sounds stronger this time round, and I'll be working more on outlining (and freewriting) before I start the actual first draft.

Alright, I'm just got back in the game and now I'm feverish. I'm rounding on 200 pages, the character development is starting to shine through and I've got some awesome scenes. I'm editting part I, now, and I see a lot of room for improvement, but I don't mind. My red pen's pretty fast and I'm shaping up those iffy characters and chopping down those lopsided, long sentances.
I love this novel.

Xan, I want to read it. My novel... wait do I even have one? Yes I do, and I haven't touched it in weeks. Writer's block is a buffalo on the hand. I wish some cowboys would come chase it off. Jack, don't give up. Exams are the spawn of Behemoth. Much luck to all.

I'm up to chapter 20! Which means I've done about twelve chapters since January!
...if only my chapters were long.

I had been writing around, but I'm currently going back to the first chapter, so I can post it IN ORDER. Hehe.
Snoink: Will you be re-posting FREAK on here?

Okay, scrap what I said earlier. I've cut down Chapter One - it's now just over 1700 words (roughly half of what I have intended it to be), but it works better this way (for me at least). What was going to make up the second part of chapter one will become Chapter Two.
Of course, that's only the first draft of Chapter One.

Snoink, about your chapters, I've read excellent books that had chapters only 2-3 pages long.

Snoink, Consider James Patterson novels. Literally like half-a-paragraph chapters. Personally I'm only at page 30 of my story, but I started four days ago. So I think all's going well.

eh.. would a book of poetry count?
I think I've finally got a decent idea of where I'm going with my latest attempt at a novelish endeavour, which leaves me with two: Kylie and Kyle Damon's story, and a new idea I've had using "Boys of Summer" as a base. It's going to be based partly on Giants baeball (yes, I'm obsessed), and my experiences as the sister of one of the Babe Ruth title winner's two summers ago. So, I'll start from all-star team picking and go up to the championship win, or the game before, when my brother pitched a oen run two-hitter, possibly working in details from last year's run where they placed third.
Ok, now to actually write more..
And 'Rina? I agree with Brad, and I love FREAK, and I think the chapters are fine. Well, will be find once I'm done with them
