I have taken the censored word list offline becuase it has been brought to my attention that this is interfering with the writing pieces.
However, I am putting the follow rule in place:
The only places that swearing will be allowed is in the literary forums and the writing activities forum. Swearing will not be allowed in comments on other people's work and all thread containing strong language are expected to be marked for anyone that may be offended by it's use.
Thank you.

Yeah, that's great. I mean, someone pointed out that we can't even use words like scrape and snigger because of the words in them. It really does hinder creativity when we can't even use words with supposedly unacceptable words in them.

Having 'YAY!' pop up all over your serious and (attemptedly) hard-hitting pieces was rather annoying.

Was that what the censor was? That makes me laugh.
And it seems like it wouldn't be too big a deal to take it off. I think the members here are responsible enough to censor their non-literary posts and if not the mods can deal with it.

You're welcome.
The censored word list was left over from this board's previous use. Our members weren't exactly the most mature and we definately needed the list. I don't see us having many problems with this group of people.

Nobody does, but the censored word list works the same way the "find" tool works in word. It finds a word, no matter what is surrounding it, and replaces it.

Oh, that would have been funny to see. I'm sorry I missed it, lol. *thinks about "Holy drat!"*
