The winner was Taylor. Prince preformed. that was cool. So what was everyones favorite part about the finale? I'm sure someone watched it.

I didn't get to watch the finale, but I was on the phone with my mom when they announced the winner.
I wanted Katharine to win. Taylor has freaky clothes and he squats when he sings. *gag*

I too wanted Katharine to win, but alas, twas not. I liked how they did like a....recap, and whatnot and how they had the Golden American Idols...

ick. prince's performance was weird.
i liked the wanabe clay aiken sketch. that was funny and cute.
i agree that katharine should have won. she and taylor are both mediocre when it comes to singing -- but she's the more fun to watch of the two, in my opinion.

I couldn't say anything, neither of them sounded good.... so yeah, I think they need a break from this American Idol thing, I mean 5 in a row? that's a bit much, let's wait off for some other entertainers to die  |

He he he... okay, so I didn't think that Taylor was gonna win, but I was still rooting for him. He rocks my socks.
I liked the rendition of Taking Care of Business and also the Clay Aiken wanna be. Although, I have to admit, I felt sorry for him afterward because of how much they set him up.

i wanted mandisa to win, she was the most amazing vocalist i have ever heard. go mandisa! I second that TOTALLY!!!!! Except Carrie Underwood (last year's winner) rocked MY socks and I think she has the best voice-but Mandisa is pretty much tied with her. I also liked Chris, Paris, Lisa, and Elliot. Taylor was fun to watch (although he always looked like he was constipated) and Katharine had an amazing voice too. Mary |

None of the American Idol contestents are terribly talented. None of them have any concept of technique and that means they will simply not have a voice left in five or so years.
I don't think Katharine should have made it at all. She's goodish, yeah, but we don't need another pretty female with a mediocre voice sexing up our airways.
America wants a change, that's why Taylor won. I just adore watching him perform. He truely loves what he does, and has a great deal of fun doing it. In my mind that makes all the difference.
However, a 29 year old, mildly overweight, greying woman no matter how talented would never NEVER have won this contest. It's a beauty pageant and a talent show all rolled into one, only just the women are judged on apperances.
I watched it off and on. Mostly, it makes me sick.
