I got this book from my ma, who found it at school because a teacher was gonna throw it away! Can you believe that, what kind of a teacher throws away books? Anyways though, I thought it was a very good book, for a lot of different reasons. Its non-fiction, and a story of kids growing up in Hells Kitchen in the sixties. They get into trouble and end up in juvie. Stuff happens. And I'd give it 4-5/5 stars. Anybody else read it? --Zed

Carcaterra is one of my heros. Yay. I throughly enjoyed the book. Isn't the title: Sleepers? I think you forgot the s. They made a movie of it too, with Brad Pitt, Robert DeNiro, Kevin Bacon, Minnie Driver, and Jason Patric. Really liked the movie too. If you like Carcaterra I recommend highly, highly Street Boys. Teacher throwing away books? Blasphemy!

S's, woops.
And yea, I told my Dada we gotta go rent the movie so hopefully I'll see it soon. Stree Boys also looks like a good book, so maybe if I can get my hands on some money I'll buy it.
Thanks, Zed

Never read the book, but the movie's fantastic (or just fantastically disturbing). Definitely one of my favorites.
